Innervisions is the most celebrated album from one of the 20th century’s most celebrated singer-songwriters. It won the Grammy for Album of the Year in 1974. Rolling Stone lists it at #23 on their list of the Top 500 Albums of All Time. Perhaps the most impressive thing about the album is its singular vision. Nearly every element of Innervisions was written and performed by Wonder himself. Themes of anger and acceptance are explored through a soulful stream of socially conscious funk. The results are innovative and catchy as hell.
